Tailored for organizations seeking to enhance their team’s or individuals’ project management skills, this 8-week program equips participants with the ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and execute projects effectively. It also benefits individuals across North Carolina who are looking to advance their careers in the nonprofit sector by offering valuable insights and hands-on skills essential for driving meaningful impact.

Unique Nonprofit Program in Partnership with Apprenticeship NC:

As the only art-focused nonprofit partnered with Apprenticeship NC, we offer a comprehensive path for those aspiring to nonprofit careers. While the program prepares participants for apprenticeships, it’s open to all, regardless of their intent to pursue further training. For those seeking an apprenticeship, specific requirements must be met.

Cost:

$150 per phase (Management & Financial) or $285 upfront for both phases (less than $36 per class)

Skills for creating, managing, and evaluating successful nonprofit programs.

Phase 2:

1. Budget/Financial Management:

Essentials of fiscal management for financial sustainability in nonprofits.

2. Corporate Giving Proposal Writing:

Crafting persuasive proposals for corporate funding and partnerships.

3. Nonprofit Grant Writing:

Strategies for successful grant acquisition and management.

4. Fundraising Basics:

Introduction to key fundraising tactics and practices.

Certification and Advancement:

Certification is awarded upon completion of both phases, signifying a noteworthy accomplishment in your nonprofit professional development. This program is not limited to the arts sector and is ideal for anyone seeking a career in various nonprofit fields.

Networking and Career Development:

Participants will benefit from opportunities to network with professionals across various nonprofit sectors, fostering connections that support career growth and professional development.

Apprenticeship Eligibility:

If you are planning to pursue an apprenticeship in the nonprofit sector, then candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

1. Apply: Fill out and submit the program application to demonstrate your interest in contributing to the nonprofit sector.

2. Provide 2.5 GPA Proof: Provide evidence of a minimum 2.5 GPA in high school or equivalent through a GED certificate, showcasing your dedication to academic and professional development.

3. Upload Recommendation Letters: Submit two letters of recommendation from those who can attest to your potential and commitment to making a difference in the nonprofit world.

1. Who is this course for and what are the prerequisites?

This course is designed for anyone interested in nonprofit work, especially those starting out or changing careers. Prerequisites include a high school diploma or GED, good grades, and two recommendation letters.

2. What will I learn and how is the course structured?

You'll gain skills in nonprofit management, including project planning, finance, fundraising, and marketing. The course is 8 weeks long, split into two 4-week sessions covering different aspects of nonprofit work.

3. How much does the course cost and how do I pay?

Each session costs $150, with a discounted combo price of $285 for both. Payment is made online using major credit/debit cards.

4. What support is available during the course and what happens after completion?

Throughout the course, you'll receive guidance from experienced instructors and community partners. After completion, we'll help you find job opportunities in the nonprofit sector.

5. How are progress and attendance monitored, and is there a certification?

Your progress is evaluated through attendance (you must attend 80% of classes) and exams (you need to score 80% or above). Successful participants receive a certificate of completion.
